Ameobi will fit well into Keshi’s plans-Amokachi

Super Eagles Assistant Coach Daniel Amokachi has hinted that Newcastle tall striker Sola Ameobi will fit perfectly into the game plans of Coach Stephen Keshi an indication that the former England Youth International is actually close to a call up to the national team as widely speculated.

Amokachi made the remarks about Ameobi shortly before the 30-year old filed out for action with Newcastle in the derby duel with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.

-He is a good striker tall, energetic and fast; he fits in well to the plan Keshi is trying to bring into the Super Eagles. Amokachi opined.

It will recalled that the Big Boss expressly stated in Calabar after securing a ticket to the Africa Nations Cup in South Africa that he does not have a team yet for the championship and will welcome new additions that will bring quality to the table.

Ameobi’s dream for a good time with the Eagles will however now depend on his ability to displace the long list of strikers on the wings for Eagles glory.
