All is well in West Kenya, says club supremo

Misc

On Thursday 27 September, there was a hush-hush in the Western Zone of the Division One league, hinting that West Kenya Sugar had released nine of their players.

However, quashing the rumors, the club’s Secretary General Fredrick Wakhisi said that the players had been laid off temporarily to pave way for investigation in the team’s performance, in some matches.

-We are already done with the investigation and the players should be back in training by Monday [1 October], Wakhisi told Futaa.com.

Performance

In their last match, against Longonot Horticulture, West Kenya, the hosts lost 1-0.

The team is currently ranked sixth in the zone.
