Nairobi City Stars defender Francis Jakambare Akango rejoined his team mates in training on Monday 13 August 2012 after a two-week absence.
The former Gor Mahia defender had been fighting a bout of Malaria and missed several Kenyan Premier League (KPL) matches as well City’s recent tour of Tanzania where they beat Simba SC 3-1 in a build up match on Wednesday 8 August 2012.
Akango expressed his pleasure at resuming training adding that he’s now working on his fitness.
-I’m very happy to be back. I have been working on my fitness and hope to feature in the upcoming games once I’m fully fit, he told futaa.com.
The 2009 KPL second best defender joined Nairobi City Stars after he was dropped from the reigning KPL champions Tusker FC.
