Akang’o: Bankers must fall

Akang'o

The Tusker Premier League (TPL) enters the 27th round of matches on the weekend of Saturday 20 – Sunday 21 October. In one of the matches, Nairobi City Stars is scheduled to host KCB at the Hope Centre on Sunday.

City Stars defender Francis Akang’o, though out with injury, believes his team mates understand the importance attached to the game and has labelled it a must win.

Unthinkable

Speaking to futaa.com, Akang’o said a draw may pass for a positive result in the encounter but it is not what they should be eyeing at the moment as they go in search of a second win in the second leg. A loss, he says, is unthinkable.

-We will be playing at home so the biggest favour we can do ourselves is bag all the three points; to us this is a must win game – a draw won’t be good enough while defeat will be catastrophic. In short KCB must fall at Hope, he said.

City Stars, on 24 points, are just three points above the relegation region.
