Agro expect slip ups in promo race

Joseph Andere

On Saturday 6 October 2012, former Kenyan Premier League side Agro Chemicals surprised Nakuru AllStars 1-2 in a game played at the Afraha Stadium.

On track

Putting one of their biggest challengers aside, Agro Chemicals through Chair Joseph Andere, now gives the side belief that they are on track for promotion to the top tier league, one they exited in 2009.

Belief aside, the team expects some slip ups from two teams ahead of them on the log; Kakamega Homeboyz and Finlays Horticulture.

Help our course

-After the win (over AllStars), we believe that we are still on track for promotion

-We still have six games to go and anything can happen. We expect some slip ups from the leading teams to help our course.

-At the weekend, the two teams ahead of us (Homeboyz and Finlay’s) have a game and a draw from that tie will do us a World of good. If the drop two points each, that will be good for us

72 points

Homeboyz currently tops the 20-team Division One Zone B log with 78 points with Finlays coming second with 75 points.

Both have played 33 games one more than Agro who, with 72 points, has a pending game against Outgrowers.
