Agola: Libya date is next year

Oliech

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) secretary general Mr. Joseph Agola has clarified that the Kenya national team Harambee Stars’ international friendly match against Libya will be played in Tripoli in February 2013.

The official confirmed that it will not be on Wednesday 14 November as previously communicated, though he did not give the exact date of the game, saying the dates were still subject to consultations.

Angola plans

Speaking to futaa.com, Agola said that the earlier request to play Angola is still in the plan for November 14 2012 and that the federation is just waiting for confirmation from their Angolan counterparts.

-The friendly match with Libya is not on this year – plans for it are not yet complete but I can confirm that it will be played next year in February. At the moment we still don’t have the probable dates for the game, we are in consultation over it.

Waiting

-We are still waiting for the reply from Angola over if they will accept our request to play them on 14th, he said.

On the FIFA calendar, Wednesday 6 February is listed as the FIFA international day.
