Aggressive Liverpool downed by Man Utd.

English Premier League side Manchester United came from behind to win their Sunday match against Liverpool 2-1 at the Anfield.

Liverpool kicked off on a high missing several great chances as they raided their opponents at every available chance.

They [Liverpool] found themselves on the receiving end after Jonjo Shelvey was given matching orders after 39 minutes of the first half.

Leveled matters

Skipper Gerald however revived their spirits with a stunning finish in the 46th minute that also brought them right back into the game.

Manchester United were however not going down easily as they staged a comeback that saw them increase the pace of the game for the second half.

Their efforts bore fruits four minutes later after Rafael da Silva curled in a volley into the top of the furthest corner of the net to level matters for United.

Former Gunner Robin Van Persie converted a penalty ten minutes to time to dash Liverpool’s hopes of leaving the relegation zone after five rounds of play this season.

This was painful loss for the Liverpool side that also remains winless this season despite displaying breath taking football in many occasions in the match.

Liverpool is currently a relegation candidate with two points while Manchester is second on the log.
