AFC opponents say no to Mumias

Karuturi

Weekend FKF Cup opponents AFC Leopards and Karuturi Sport are yet to agree on the venue of their match with only two days to go.

The visitors Karuturi Sport had put across s request to have the match held in either Nairobi of Nakuru due to the high cost of traveling to Mumias for the match but they have faced opposition from their opponents.

Out of funds

According to Karuturi chair David Omega, the team is not capable of bearing the heavy transport and accommodation cost for its players to Mumias and thus requested for the match venue to be changed.

-We are still in talks to have the match shifted to Nakuru or even Nairobi but AFC insist that they have been banned from Afraha.

-They [AFC] are also reluctant to play in Nairobi since their team is already in Mumias but we have told them that we do not have money.

The two sides are set to square it out in the quarterfinals of the annual tournament on Saturday 6th September 2012.
