AFC fans’ official to seek ticket price reduction

AFC fans

Kakamega based Tusker Premier League (TPL) side Western Stima will this weekend, on Saturday 15 September host the league leaders AFC Leopards at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru and the away side fans are looking to have the ticket prices reduced.

Possible waiver

The tickets, which will be sold as from Friday 14 September, will go for 300 and 400 shillings for the terraces and main stand respectively but Faraj Faluma, the AFC Leopards fans Nakuru branch treasurer told futaa.com that the branch chairman will reach out to the organisers for a possible waiver on the terraces tickets.

According to the official, the ambition is to get as many fans as possible to buy the tickets and they are used to paying 100 shillings in most of the matches at the stadium so a reduction to 200 shillings would be fair enough.

Fair prices

-Our chairman, councillor Kassim Gibe will meet the organisers of the game with the view of seeking a reduction on the prices of tickets for the terraces from 300 shillings to 200 which we feel would be a fair price because fans are used to paying 100 here for the terraces.

-The aim is to see that many fans get hold of the tickets and ensure that we fill the stadium to capacity, he said.

Ticketing firm Ticket Masters was contracted to produce and sell the tickets for the encounter.
