AFC – Mathare duel could get a curtain raiser

AFC Fans

The weekend Tusker Premier League match between hosts AFC Leopards and visiting former champions Mathare United set for Saturday 4 November 2012 at Mumias may get a curtain raiser.

This will however depend on whether Chebyusi High School’s request is granted by the match organizers who are in talks with the scholars.

Building talent

According to Chabyusi’s head coach George Awoko, the aim of the curtain raiser will be to expose the young talent in his team to the competitive environment in readiness for the future tough games.

Chebyusi is hoping to play Mumias Muslim in the match if their efforts come to fruition before the d-day.

This will be a crucial assignment for both sides as AFC targets to get the top slot with Mathare eyeing a top eight finish this season.

Only matches are remaining this season.
