Aduda quits

Aduda

On Monday 29 October 2012, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) hit its first anniversary since assuming office this day last year after an all-inclusive election.

Declined

But FKF’s first anniversary did not come with celebrations – but changes.

The most notable change saw Secretary General Lordvick Omondi Aduda kicked out from his position and in came former Football Kenya Limited (FKL) Secretary General and current FKF Finance Manager Joseph Ogola to assume his role in an acting capacity.

In the changes, Aduda was handed a new portfolio; Operations Manager. But he has declined it and called it quits from FKF altogether.

Discuss such change

-This is the end of my contribution at FKF. I will not be taking up the new (Operations Manager) position, he said in an exclusive interview with futaa.com

And he gave good reason why he is opting out

-The changes are unconstitutional that I will not be party to.

-Not all NEC (National Executive Committee) members sat to discuss such change which was a weighty matter.

Unconstitutionality

- It is only in a General Meeting that such substantive decisions can be made. NEC can only discuss such changes and recommend them but it is only in a GM that such a decision can be made

-In what part of the current FKF constitution do you have the position of Deputy Secretary? He posed

Other than the unconstitutionality, Aduda has questioned FKF’s timing of the changes

-What has necessitated the changes at this time? He queried.

Hindrance

-If this positions were really required to be filled, why is that being done now?

-How do you now have a Finance Manager doubling as a Secretary General. How can he hold both?

In his parting shot this is what he said;

-If my services are not required then let it be. I do not wish to be a hindrance to the development of football in Kenya, he concluded, confirming his exit

Up until the election held last year, Aduda had been the Secretary General of Kenya Football Federation (KFF).
