Admiral and Gatundu Stars played to a 1-1 draw in a Division One Zone A match played in Juja on Sunday 14 October 2012.

Gatundu Stars opened the scores in the 15th minute through Bernard Wafula while Admiral cancelled the lead in the 35th minute through former Tusker and Bandari midfielder Athman Bori.

Speaking after the match, Admiral Assistant Head Coach Swaleh Sundah rued missed chances adding that the players were fatigued following their 2-0 win over Nairobi Stima the previous day.

-We lost so many clear chances and we only have ourselves to blame. On the positive side, picking four points out of six while playing away is not easy so we did well, Sundah told futaa.com.

Gatundu Stars Head Coach Shadrack Ateka said the match was of two halves but said his team would have won the match if they utilized their chances in the first half.

Chances

-We played well in the first half but lost so many chances. Admiral was the best side in the other half I admit. All in all it’s a point gained rather than two lost, Ateka said.

After the result, Admiral is third in the Zone A log with 59 points from 32 matches while Gatundu is 18th with 30 points having played 34 matches.
