After spending over two months behind bars, on allegations of being a member of terror-group Al-Shabab, Abdallah Mwasiki Kilume, popularly known as Dalla or Abdalla King has been released on bond.
The former footballer was let out on a KSh1 million bond, with a surety of the same amount.
On his release, Kilume thanked everyone that stood with him, noting that the truth will eventuall come out.
-Thanks for your prayers and support, I still want to stand up for what is just so that we can save many lives, Kilume told Futaa.com.
The next mention is on Tuesday 9 October, with the hearing set for 24 November 2012.
In his playing days, during the late 80's to late 90's, Kilume featured for Pumwani and Eastleigh Sportiff.
Career
He was played alongside former national team coach Zedekiah Zico Otieno, Charles Korea Omondi, Daniel Ogada and Washington Khamadi.
At one point, he was called up to join Kenya Breweries ( now Tusker FC), but he turned down the offer due to his strong religious beliefs.
He was also a trialist for national team Harambee Stars, under German coach Reinhadt Fabisch.
