KPL league leaders Tusker Fc have received a major boost in their title campaign with a come-back of sensational striker Dennis Mukaisi to training after being sidelined for seven weeks with injury.
Mukaisi sustained an injury after scoring an opener during his team’s 2-1 victory over City Stars on 17th July 2011 at City Stadium
Speaking to futaa.com,a jovial Mukaisi said that he’s happy for his quick recovery saying it’s at the right time especially now the league is as homestretch with nine games to go per team.
- I think it’s the right time especially now that the league is at its last stage. Am sure to pick up from where I left though the competition is tough in team for the starting XI, am ready to fight for a chance, said Mukaisi.
Thika’s comeback
Mukaisi a dependable player for Coach Sammy Omollo with four goals on his name this season, started training today (Monday 5th September 2011) and is optimistic for a trip to Thika, to battle with Thika United on Sunday 11th September.
-With today’s training, I am feeling much better and by Friday I know I will be at my best ready for Thika United’s game, concluded Mukaisi.
Tusker are on top of the KPL standings with 41 points out of 21 outings, five ahead of second placed Gor-Mahia.
