Victor Moses’ teammate
at Liverpool Kolo Toure has been handed a recall to the Ivoirian national team as
Coach Sabri Lamouchi unveiled a 24-man squad for the crunch World Cup
qualifying knockout against the Teranga Lions of Senegal.
The elder of the Toure brothers is returning to the fold after nine months of absence as he was dropped from the team after the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations due to a ‘declining form’.
However with the new lease of life at Anfield with Moses and the other Reds the centre back has got another chance to impress in the national team jersey.
The Elephants will face the Lions on October 12 in Abidjan in what many predict will be an explosive battle.
Both teams, from the West Africa sub-region, have met a dozen times and recently in October 2012 during qualifiers for the South Africa 2013.
