The Vodacom Premier league in Tanzania in registering increased action by day with the traditional arch rivals Young Africans [Yanga] and Simba SC now tied at the peak of the standings.
Yanga’s Wednesday’s emphatic 3-0 mauling of their opponent JKT Mgambo pushed them to the second spot on the standing equal in points but carrying an inferior goal difference with the bitter rivals.
Third force
Latest entrant and fast growing Azam FC however has a chance to go top of the standings if they win their weekend match against Yanga on Saturday 3 November 2012 at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.
Azam however still has a match at hand which gives them a softer landing heading into the weekend duel with fourth placed Coastal Union also hot on their heels.
The Ice Cream makers fumbled last weekend after a heavy loss to Simba but bounced back on Thursday 1 November to beat Coastal Union 4-1 and recapture the third spot
