Pumwani United registered thumped Kakamega United 7-0 in a Nairobi County League match played on Sunday 5 August 2012 at Pumwani Grounds.
Former Kenyan International custodian Wilson Obungu, who sponsors the team, was elated with the performance saying that they prime goal is to feature in the Nairobi Provincial League next season.
Impressive
-The team has not played competitively in the last three weeks and therefore did not expect them to win with such a huge margin, Obungu told futaa.com.
-It was also a good send off to our Coach Daglish Kasidi who will be guiding Garissa High School in the Kenya Secondary School Nationals in Mombasa, he added.
-We lost some Senior players to Kenyan Premier League (KPL) and Division One teams during the mid season transfer window but this result proves that the team is still good. I’m very proud of my boys.
