Uganda Cranes international top scorer Hamis “Diego” Kiiza was at it again when Yanga FC took Azam in the finals of CECAFA Kagame Cup tournament.
A strike in each half from the Prolific striker was enough to ensure Yanga sailed past money bags Azam FC in a game that was played at the National Stadium Dar es Salaam on Saturday 28 July 2012 afternoon.
In a game which was seemingly dominated by the Ice-cream makers, Yanga came in much later with Kiiza forcing custodian Deogratius Munishi into a brilliant save with a powertful volley in the 27th minute.
The former URA FC and Nalubaale striker continued to create havoc for Azam’s defense and with a brilliant beat at Azam keeper in the 44th minute gave the champions a 1-0 lead at half-time.

Yanga retained the title at the blow of final whistle following Said Bahanuzi’s second goal at the 93rd minute. The club has now won five CECAFA titles in 1975, 1993, 1999, 2011 and 2012.
