Well, the script was written and well executed by the Kakamega Homeboyz
The loss at the Nairobi City Stars
felt like repeating a movie you had watched before. It was like reading for a play, doing things over and over again. It was like a routine the players already knew.
Homeboyz were wasteful at the Hope Centre, but that is not the first time we have heard anyone say that.
I have been to two Homeboyz matches this season, versus Gor Mahia
in Mumias and the one at Hope Centre yesterday, plus you can add all those that were shown live on television.
It was as they say, same script, same cast. Many chances, no goals.
Homeboyz could have been over the hills by half-time yesterday, were it not for some very poor finishing. Then City Stars
scored and you sensed there was trouble on the way.
I don't know what has happened to Dennis Ngaira Mukaisi. Has he been infected by his namesake and former Tusker
FC striker Dennis Mukaisi? What is going on there?
The guy just can't score goals, even though we know he has the talent to. His basic finishing technique is poor or has deserted him?
The others in the team are also very poor in terms of getting on the score-sheet and I guess as Homeboyz, it will be very easy to make decisions in the transfer window this June.
It is a pivotal month ahead for the club, what do they do?
Do they stick with a coach that has underperformed or will they get in someone else? And what kind of players will they go for in the transfer window?
Tough decisions, tough month for Homeboyz.
