A month ago, I was asked why we usually refer to the Tusker Premier League as the best in the region, as we are not..
If you compare our league and others in the region, we have the most competitive league.
Here, we have 16 competitive teams that fight hard to win the championship. Even though most of the clubs are poor, they are able to do well and show what they are made of.
The Kenyan league has for the last two seasons been decided on the last day and this year looks no different.
Maybe, we could now the champions on goal difference like the English Premier League too. You never know.
Derby day
Second question was why I usually go to the stadiums, which are one of the worst and most unsafe in the world??
Particularly, the Nairobi derby was in question for it' bad reputation.
For a long time, many people I know were dissaproving of the Gor Mahia-AFC Leopards derby.
However, last weekend, I got the opportunity to attend the match with the same guys, as they had nothing better to do (they say).
The atmosphere was electric and the fan turn-out great.
What was even better was the fact that it was a game of two halves; with Gor dominating the first and Leopards the second. It had the makings of a real classic match.
And even better wa the fact that everyone behaved well and we went home okay.
Change minds
What Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards do not realise is that they made many new friends last weekend.
Before the derby, all that I heard was about how bad we Kenyan fans are.
Afterwards though, they (who accuse us) realized that we are just as good and peace loving as any fans all over the world.
They now want anything and everything to do with us, they are happy that we are doing well and now tell everyone about the good things that are happening in Kenyan football.
Only good for our growth.

I would just like to urge all you fans out there to keep the good work up.
Now we have a good sponsorship deal (Tusker) and and are looking forward to the end of the season, where we are likely to see a proper fight for the league title.
Let us all embrace it, let us all be happy with ourselves, we have been good.
We are rightly the best league in the region.. Who can argue??
