Currently, they are headed towards a return to the FKF division one, where they were last year.
Just last season, they made a return to the league which for some years, they were a dominant force. In actual fact, I started watching the local game at the time when they were dominant, so they have a place in my heart.
They promised much; a good home-ground a strong support base and a financially stable back-ground.
Oserian: relegation... No way.
Slow
But alas, they have dropped to those levels and despite it being a sad affair for the club, it is one they have brought on themselves.
This is because they have just made the wrong decisions this season.
When the man who gave them a return to the top flight, Sammy Otinga was sacked, he left behind a side that was bereft of ideas and largely inexperienced.
The problem was though, that the signs that Otinga would be in trouble were there from the early days.
They needed a change but the administrators left it too late to make one.
Selebwa
Then the biggest mistake of all, the appointment of Gilbert Selebwa.
I am no fan of the man who has always looked for a way of being in the limelight at the expense of his players and employers.
At Congo United he was no success, as was at AFC Leopards...
At Oserian, he took up the destructive role of the Technical Director, where to be honest, he has done more harm than good for the club.
Funny enough, he retained his job as a soccer pundit at the same time.. How did that happen?
Too late
The appointment of former Tusker FC coach Sammy Omollo was well thought out.
Sadly, he had too little time to lift the club and impose his style of play.. He should have come earlier... or never should have at all. Now it seems, they are in a real hole.
Ill decisions coupled with dilly dallying has led them to their death bed and really, they can have no one to blame other than themselves.
They are the ones who have shot themselves on the foot.
sad though to see them go.
