Omollo
Have you ever wondered why football appeals to so many people?

It's simple, it touches on emotion.

Every move in football is one guided by emotion.

Emotion guides decision making, which is the most important thing in football.

Decisions are what matter in football, they make or kill, but ultimately, they are guided by emotion.

Wrong decision

The recent sacking of Sammy Omollo by Tusker FC is what I am here about today.

I think that it was an unjust decision and one they will regret.

My opinion is that it was ill informed and misguided.

The guys who made the decision got it all wrong.

And will come to regret it.

Make mistakes

I like Sammy Omollo. He is young, ambitious and most importantly, never afraid to make mistakes.

That is why he has won the KPL at Tusker, because he was willing to gamble on players, the form book, e.t.c

At times, they are what build you, they push you to get the perfect recipe.

That is what cooks do. You never get it right at first, you try and try and fail and fail before you get to a good place.

Which is what Tusker do not understand.

Great coach

From a Tusker point of view, maybe the Kagame Cup defeat was not alright and losing that heavily to Gor Mahia would have hurt them too.

Mistakes were made in the transfer window too, as the club failed to adress the issues upfront.

And maybe in the fielding too and tactical awareness (Especially in Tanzania).

But as we all know, he is a young coach still picking up things along the way. How do you think Jan Koops became Jan Koops? He made mistakes and learnt along the way.

And anyway, it is not like Tusker were doing too badly in the KPL and maybe could have won the FK Cup.

Middle of the season

My qualm is that to sack him after all his mistakes would be o.k, considering it is a big club, but now? in the middle of the season? It does not help the playing unit in any way.

I am of the opinion that if they kept Pamzo, they would have won the KPL title.

And replaced him at the end of the season if they liked to.

Now though, they will have a new coach, with new ideas and new thoughts, bang in the middle of a title race.

Good decision?.... No.. Bad move Tusker..
