There is a saying that goes; It is never too early to start something.
Also, it is said that it never is too late to think ahead.
Those two squarely apply for Bandari FC.
The dockers have been promoted to the Tusker Premier League, that is unless you beleive in black magic, then they are not.
In the 2013 season, they will be back in the place they belong (They always say).
Bandari's Premier League story has been very simple.. One year up one year down.
They have been consistent in doing the wrong rather than the right things over the years.
It has cost them a chance to establish themselves in the top flight and get a share of the national cake....
Added to that, they have lost the big name tag they once had. They are no longer a big club.. They are just usual relegation candidates Bandari.
As the big brother in coastal football, the likes of Rama Salim would have played for them, but now they would rather go elsewhere than stay at a club that will end up being relegated.
The thing that the dockers must do then, is to ensure that they plan early this time. They must start preparing for the new season now.. Like they do so for weddings.
Right now they must be looking at where they will get new players and how they can build the team.
They must build momentum from now, they must weed out the bad and bring in the new. By December, they should be settled already and looking forward to the new season.
Bandari have to be ruthless this time. They must not dilly dally and wait.
Time is not on their side.
I know that they have done well to make a quick return to the Premier League.
That said, they must not holiday. No no. There is no time for Casablanca and North Coast escapades.
They have to start planning for 2013 early, if they are to avoid the same old story we know of. They need a head start on the rest.. They have to get going now...
There is no time to rest.
