In the end, it was goal-difference that separated them, in City's favour.
What thrilled me though, was the attention to detail from both sides, the way they worked on tactics and what- not's.
It was about who and what could help them gain an advantage.. Positional play.. Players... defence.. goals..
Predictions were made more on gut feeling than know-how... It was too hard to call.
This season here at home, we have a similar scenario on our hands.. Gor Mahia-Tusker FC- AFC Leopards.
It may not be as close to the United-City equation in terms of the mathematics, but the stakes are similarly high and eventualities in their thousands.
What if Gor win... What happens.. Tusker too.. Leopards.... Who gets the better result.
It is hard to know what the coaches are thinking.. Difficult to predict.
Who will come out tops? Can you tell..
Good for the game
The chief protagonists Gor and Tusker meet at the City Stadium tomorrow in a game that is bigger than any in recent times in the local scene.
Who will come out on top? Tusker can take a draw.. Gor have to win.
If they draw, AFC Leopards will be back in the reckoning if they hold their part of the bargain.
The scenarios are great for a neutral.. Hard to take if you support any of the three teams. You just can't tell what is going on... What will happen.
I wonder who will come out on top.
Hard to call
At the moment, if you ask me who will win the Premier League, I will look at you blankly.. No answer.
It is too close to call.
