Koops and recruits
They say that as long as you love the game, the game loves you.

Jan Koops is a darling of the Kenyan game, why? Because he loves it and now it loves him too.

I think that if there was a coach that even Gor Mahia fans did and do not have a problem with, it is Koops, because he is just a good man that loves to preach the game of football.

He is enthusiastic for his age and understands the role of the fans in the game, similar to what Zdravko Logarusic brings to the table.

He has been a positive influence to the Kenyan game.

What I love most about Koops is that he never made a big meal out of his falling out with AFC Leopards, who did not do the man any justice with their treatment of him.

He just moved on and applied for jobs elsewhere, without fear, reputation or even bias.

Now that he is at Kolongolo in Division One, I wish him the very best and hope and pray that the relative good nature he possesses and offers our game will one day land him back where he belongs.

A true lover of the Kenyan game.
