After what looked like an eternity, they have shown the dark spots that usually cover their skin, after hiding them all along.
Back then, they were like the new person in the office.
They smelt fresh, acted innocent and spoke with humility.
Now though, they are just the wild animal that was caged in a zoo for a long time, they are the one and only undisputed AFC Leopards.
Infighting
At times, you just wonder how Leopards are programmed.
When things are going well, they want to fight, when things are bad, they also want to fight.
Even if they get a very good thing, they want to destroy it.
It is like they are insecure or have a bug roving in their stomachs.
They are self-destructive, shooting themselves in the foot time and again.
Fight Mumias Sugar
Now that they have fought themselves, Ssemi Aina, Gor Mahia, their leaders and Jan Koops, you wonder who will come next... Mumias Sugar?
I wouldn't be slightly surprised if they did so.
All the time, there has to be something that is going on, boiling under.. an under-current of sorts.
Without that, Leopards would not be alive, would they?
Maybe it is what makes them tick, maybe it is what makes them such big a club.. Maybe they thrive on the pressure and feuds that come with being themselves.
Missed chance
Sadly for Leopards, this season would have been a grand one for them, they would have maybe won something big.
They would have repaid the faith that Mumias Sugar has in the club.
Maybe, Jan Koops would have been the legend that he really should be.
But they have ruined it... They have messed it all up, killed the dream that should have been.
Leopards are a diamond on a landmine.
