Where, the mice and the rats are thrown into the ring.
If you go bibilical, the lion's den.
Or if adolescent, time for the cut.
If you are Tusker FC, time to show your balls.
Perennial failures
From Tusker's point of view, the match-up against AFC Leopards couldn't have come at a better time.
Leopards are not the outfit they were three months ago.
They look lean and beaten. They look like they have not recovered from mid-season crisis. They are a team that is running out of steam.
At this point, they are running on the reserve fuel tank and the petrol station is still miles away.
They are there for the taking.
Take advantage
Leopards are very beatable, but also pose a threat because they have big name players and a coach who always seems to find sixth gear when needed.
Which makes the game tomorrow a poisoned chalice.
As Tusker too, do not look like they know what they are doing, but they do have Robert Matano.
I have recently spoken about the merits and demerits of having him on board the Tusker train. Has he helped the team improve in any way since he took over?
I hear he has..
Have to win it
So far, I hear he has brought in some much needed confidence into the brewers camp. He has sweet talked the players into believing that they are better than Real Madrid.
He will get them to give a final 150% in the last nine matches, but as we all know, Tusker usually have a second leg poor performance syndrome.
Against Leopards, they will give their all.. their best, but tomorrow, nothing but three points will do.
A draw will not help either side, a win will do nicely for Leopards.. For Tusker it is a must win.
There are no if's or but's.. they have to.
Must watch
Matano the lion has already made an impression on a group of confused boys.
But in the conundrum that is Nyayo Stadium, they will need to deliver.. they will have to score big..
No excuses this time.. Tusker have to win..
Or bust.
