Drogba
I have read in the past few weeks about the chances of Didier Drogba returning to the English Premier League.

All across, there have been many talking up the prospect of having the top Drog back at the Bridge.

Sadly, I have not at all enjoyed those comments.

Drogba is a hero for Chelsea, a legend to be precise, he won us many titles, the Champions league is still fresh in the memory.

But we are past his time.

New players

Two seasons ago, the talk was about Chelsea clearing the many old players at the club.

We had the Ballack's, Belleti's, Malouda's, Bosingwa's, Ferreira's, Terry's and Lampard's....

Some of them had to go and everyone called Chelsea a team of old men.

So when we start clearing the said names out of our books, people are all around are talking about us getting younger and younger and how it is bad to be very young

What to people really want?

Young guns

At the club presently, we have some young guns who really have to play all the games because their quality is undisputed.

Oscar, Eden Hazard, Victor Moses and Mirko Marin need a chance to play games.

They have started well and are adapting really nicely to life in West London. If they continue in the same vein and with their age, they could be huge players for Chelsea.

The win over Arsenal showed that they can also fight hard to stay in games even when they are being dominated.

Why want the old guys back?

No return

I still hope that Didier Drogba can come back to the club one day, just like the way Thierry Henry did at Arsenal.

But not to stay, just to show us the love that he has for the club, to reminisce all those old memories.

That I agree with, but him playing for Chelsea again?

..... Now is not the time.
