Even before he ascended to office, he was never the type I felt for among Gor fans.
I will keep the reasons to myself, but it is what it is.
During the electioneering period last year, I campaigned fervently against him.
And I know many who have the same feelings, but that is in the past now.
Our club
When the season started badly, I was sure it was his fault.
The many new players, who as I know, they forced on the then coach Anaba Awono. Some ludicrous decisions like geting rid of Awilo (Julius Owino) and many more.
It was maddening, but as I was told by a friend, talking ill of the guy who has the mandate of most of the club's fans will not help anyone.
It would just break down the club.. and for once I agreed.
Let's give him a chance and see where it goes, I was told.
Done very well
And to be honest, I have to admit that he has done well to date.
During some tough times for us, he has stood by the players and the fans and protected us. When the drama with AFC leopards came about, he stood firm.
Even when the Sports Stadia Management board banned us, he was bullish and stuck by his guns. He did not back down, which is the Gor Mahia way.
When Zdravko Logarusic came, he gave him his space and time and now see where we are.
Kudos.. Kudos.
Glory days are back
Under Logarusic, we have become the envy of all. The signings and departures in the transfer window were astute and now the football is bananas.
We have won the KPL Top 8 and if we have a say, we can still sneak into the KPL title race and make things interesting.
That is all down to the leadership of Bwana.
I may not be the biggest supporter, but now, I am an admirer.
Success George Bwana... Glory.. glory K'ogalo.
