Kenya's Harambee Stars has been drafted in Group 'B' during the just concluded Council of Southern Africa Football Associations [COSAFA] draw conducted on Friday 3 May in Lusaka Zambia.
Harambee Stars has been grouped alongside Southern Africans Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland in the group that will see them fight it out for a place in the quarters of the tournament.
Tanzania's Taifa Stars who are also visitors in the tournament, and seeded with Kenya before the draw, are in Group 'A' alongside Namibia, Mauritius and Seychelles. From the two groups, only the winners will advance to the quarter finals.
Group 'B' winners will face Angola in the third match of the quarterfinals to be played in Kabwe Zambia on Sunday 14 July 2013 with destiny now in the respective teams' hands.
Group 'A' winners will face South Africa in the second match of the quarterfinals set for play a day earlier [13th] in Lusaka.
Kick off on Saturday 6 July
In the first match of the quarters, Zambia will face Malawi on Saturday 13 July while hosts Zambia will play Mozambique in the fourth quarterfinal match to be played on 14 July 2013.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Saturday 6 July. Zimbabwe are the defending Champions and have won it a record four times. Zambia, Angola and South Africa have each won it thrice.
