Finally, the guessing is over as to whom will be promoted from the second tier league to the Kenyan Premier league for the 2013 season.
With the confirmation that Oserian and Rangers are out of the top flight, action in the second tier on Sunday 4 November 2012 also confirmed that Bandari has been promoted from Division One Zone A and Kakamega Homeboyz from Division One Zone B.
Two games to go
Bandari went past Green Berets 2-1 in a game played at Mbaraki while Homeboyz knocked off West Kenya Sugar 2-0 at Bukhungu.
Bandari has now hit an unassailable 76 points mark with after 35 rounds in Zone A while Homeboyz has hit the 87 point mark from 36 games in Zone B. Both have two rounds of games to go.
Third placed Agro Chemicals, with 78 points and three games to play in Zone B can however catch up with Homeboyz on points – should they win all the remaining games.
But Homeboyz has a massive goal difference of +53 while Agro has +29, a case that will force the latter to score +25 goals in the remaining three games to deny Homeboyz a path to the top flight for the first time ever.
