The rise, fall and rise of Blackberry
They say that if God is on your side and the stars aline in your favour, nothing can stop you and that can be said of George Blackberry Odhiambo.

You can say that Blackberry has been to hell and back in his football career.

He has hit the heights at Gor Mahia and dropped to the lows of the Nairobi City Stars.

In-between, he has been to several places, Denmark and Tanzania... To no relative success.

But now he has landed in Armenia and is a championship winner.. Who would have thought that in February?

And now he is being considered for the Harambee Stars? Wow, wow.

In a way, I am happy for the man as he needed a break of some sort to be honest.

He has worked his socks off at City Stars in the off-season, where he tried to play, even though he knew it was not his place to stay. He was not built for such a place.

But he tried and I give him that.

It would have been easy to go back to Gor Mahia and train with them, but he did not, he went to a place where it was not all rosy.

So I am happy that he has ended up somewhere.

Added to that, he is not a bad player and on his day, can help the national team Harambee Stars in it's endeavours for the season as I am sure Adel Amrouche will take him on board.

In football you need some luck and Blackberry has just that. I hope he takes his chance well.
