Kateregga returns to full training ahead of vital Cup tie

Allan Kateregga has returned to full training giving Cape Town City a major injury boost before facing Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup last sixteen encounters.

News on Kenya's Masoud Juma has not yet been clarified and that means he has to wait a little longer before making his debut. Meanwhile, Cape town City head coach Benni McCarthy has admitted jokingly that his side is an underdog against the Pirates. He admits that the weather might work in their favor though.

“I think we are very many underdogs and that gives us a bit more ease to play our game‚ execute our tactics and how we are going to set up against them‚. We can play with freedom because everybody will be looking to see how far Pirates can take this run [in the Nedbank Cup]. We are the team standing in their way and so hopefully the boys can get into the game. The weather is playing an awesome part‚ so that is good for us," McCarthy told Times live.

The two sides will clash on March 14th, 2017.
