Two losses in their last two matches have left Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Mike Mururi in a tight corner, but the coach is confident that the team will rise from the rut.
Most recently, the Kakamega based side lost 0 – 1 to Ulinzi Stars and Mururi has blamed their slow start to the season on the sale of key players in the January transfer window.
He says his team is yet to gel after the addition of new players, but believes with time they will get going and the team will start registering good results with regularity.
“We lost many players last year; five players left and it is like I’m building another team now. To bring in five new players and getting them to gel in the team is difficult, but we will continue working hard and hope things will get better,” he said.
Mururi’s side will next take on AFC Leopards, who have a midweek game against Wazito FC.
