Ulinzi Stars ace Ibrahim Shambi has vowed to use his national team U23 call-up which he terms as a stepping stone for more feats.
The 2016 KPL U20 winner is among players privileged to work with coach Francis Kimanzi in the upcoming national assignments. He has in past spoken of his dream to represent Harambee Stars at the senior level and says he will use the opportunity with national team youngsters to show his worth.
"I am happy of course and since I want to soar to great heights in my career, this is a great stepping stone. I will prove myself, for the team, my country and for all who have helped me. I won't disappoint," he told the club portal.
Shambi, an alumnus of Kathungi Boys, rose through the ranks of club's feeder team, Ulinzi Warriors.
He featured in Futaa's list of KPL youngsters joining the league from lower leagues.
