Monaco ace looks to ‘force’ through a move to Arsenal

As reported by the Daily Star, Arsenal target Thomas Lemar is desperate to move to the Emirates this summer and is willing to force through a move himself.

The 21-year-old has been a target for Arsene Wenger since the start of the window; however, a deal for the French international has yet to come to fruition.

The winger reportedly has the ambition to play for Arsene Wenger, who is seen as football royalty in France. However, Monaco is said to be threatening to block a £45m bid from the Gunners as they fear they are losing too many players.

It is now reported that the player will look to force a move away from the Ligue 1 champions, at the risk of falling out with his current managerial staff.

Monaco have already sold 22-year-old midfielder Bernardo Silva to Manchester City for £43.5m, as well as 22-year-old midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who recently moved to Chelsea for £40m.

Despite this flow of transfer funds into the club and the signing of 18-year-old winger Jordi Mboula, they are yet to fully re-invest in senior players and may wait until they have done so before potentially letting Lemar leave.

However, Arsenal fans should not despair, as the club has already bought quality signings with the likes Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac coming in this summer.

Mr. Wenger recently hinted that he still expects more signings, with Lemar likely to be one of those.
