It was a sad night on Thursday when at least 30 people lost their lives in a viewing center during the UEFA Europa quarterfinal second leg clash between Manchester United and Anderlecht.
The football fans were said to have assembled at the centre to watch the game won by the host 2-1 (3-2) on aggregate to advance to the semi-final.
They lost their lives after a high tension electricity cable broke from its mooring and fell on the roof of the building.
On Friday, Manchester United sent words to the friends and family of those who lost their lives.
-Our thoughts go out to the United fans, their friends and families affected by the tragedy in Calabar, Nigeria, yesterday.
