Micho: Kenya-Uganda friendly to help KCCA gain int’l experience ahead of CAF CC

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic has summoned seven players from KCCA FC in the squad to play Kenya in an international build up friendly on Thursday in Nairobi.

According to the coach, he included the players in order to help them gain more experience ahead of their second round Caf confederation cup fixture.

Both KCCA FC and Vipers were dumped out of the respective CAF competitions in disheartening styles which Micho believes is down to lack of international experience.

-I was impressed with KCCA FC and Vipers SC performances but disappointed with the result. It could be much better. Both teams had a good chance but lost it at the end, very unfortunate. It is a very good lesson to us and our football, he told Futaa.com

The players include keeper Benjamin Ochan, Denis Awany, Habib Kavuma, Muzamil Mutyaba, Brian Majwega and Geoffrey SSerunkuma. Ochaya has been included in the squad as a KCCA FC player but is likely to join Lusaka Dynamos very soon.

-KCCA FC has one more chance in the CAF Confederation playoffs. They need to correct that and we want these two international matches against Kenya and the French military team to give chance to their players to gain international experience. There is no shop for experience unless they play more games.
