Rangers going for nothing less than title

National Super League (NSL) side Modern Coast Rangers football club secretary Ferdinand Ogot has expressed confidence that the team will lift the NSL title this season. Ogot described the promotion of more NSL teams to the top tier Kenya Premier League (KPL) a blessing in disguise.

Speaking about the team's preparedness, Ogot insisted that the teams is ready for any action and to inject any effort to see them fight for the title alongside other big teams in the NSL.

Team to beat

-Zoo Kericho, Nakumatt,  Kariobangi Sharks and Nzoia have been promoted to the KPL while  Vihiga United and KCB are awaiting on the wings to join the same. These are the teams that gave us quality opposition but following their promotion,  Modern Coast Rangers will be a team to beat this season. We have a good team and as you are aware we recruited more strikers to improve our attacking force which is now more dangerous that it was last season’’

The 16 team Kenya Premier League kicks off in two weeks time excluding Vihiga United and KCB pending determination of  a case filed by Sofa Paka and Muhoroni Youth challenging their relegation to National Super League.

New signings

Rangers showed their intent for the NSL title when they recently recruited ten new signings including Democratic Republic of Congo imports  Michael Ange  and  Edima Adard  whose combination is likely to torment opposition defenses  with  goal-searching instincts.
