Improvement for Kenya in latest FIFA Rankings

Harambee Stars has moved two places up in the latest FIFA Rankings released by the world football governing body on Thursday 12 January.

The national football team now placed 87th on the rankings worldwide while it holds the 20th position in Africa.

East African Region

Uganda is still the best ranked side East African, at position 77, while Rwanda (93) Ethiopia (112), Sudan (133) Burundi (139) and Tanzania are placed behind Kenya.

Senegal have been ranked first in the continent followed African Cup of Nation defending champions Cote DIvoire. Egypt, Tunisia,Algeria complete the top five while AFCON 2015 finalists Ghana are placed at position eight.

Globally, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium are the top five respectively. Columbia, France, Portugal, Uruguay and Spain complete the top 10.
