Tanzanian giants, Simba SC's goalkeeping department stood to be counted as the team edged Young Africans (Yanga) in post-match penalties to storm the Mapinduzi Cup final where they will play Azam in Friday final in Zanzibar.
Ghanaian keeper Daneil Agyei, under the tutelage of Kenyan trainer Iddi Salim, proved the match hero by stopping two spot kicks as Simba claimed another derby bragging rights in a 4-2 score line against Yanga 4-2.
Both sides had played out to an entertaining clash with neither able to fins his way past the other in the allocated regulation time.
Iddi and his goalkeeping crew stepped up in the post match penalties with Agyei saving Mwinyi Haji and Munishi Dida penalties to send Simba through.
The team will now face off against local rivals Azam in the finals sated for Friday at the Amman stadium.
