New coach for SA based Kenyan defender

Brian Mandela’s PSL team Maritzburg United have drafted in Roger De Sa as the club's new coach on a three year deal, the club has announced.

Until his confirmation at the Kwa Zulu Natal team,  De Sa was among the trainers tipped for the vacant role at the Bafana bafana national team.

The coach’s last tenure in the PSL was at Ajax Cape Town where he led the Urban Warriors in the current season before he being sacked midway to the PSL mid-season break.

-I've had a long relationship with the Chairman and it's great to be here. The support here in Pietermaritzburg is second to none, the squad is good and the vibe I get here is very positive, the new man said as quoted by the club portal.

The former goalkeeper was behind the signing of Kenyan attacker Ali Abondo's with  Ajax .

His first task at the club will be a clash against high riding Polokwane City, coached by former AFC leopards coach Luc Eymael.
