As KPL teams continue bolstering ahead of 2017 season, AFC Leopards has confirmed that it is interested in signing Mathare United pair of Robinson Kamura and Whyvonne Isuza, club Organizing Secretary Timothy Lilumbi gas disclosed.
The two were key players for Mathare United in 2016; Isuza was named club player of the year and finished as first runners up in the midfielder of the year category during the 2016 KPL Awards gala, Western Stima’s Kenneth Muguna was named midfielder of the year.
The pair is now on Leopards radar as Ingwe continue to bolster the playing unit ahead of 2017 KPL season. Lilumbi has confirmed that the club is indeed trailing the duo exuding confidence that the duo will ditch the slum boys for Leopards.
-Yes the two are players we are interested in but we have not finalized anything yet. The two are young quality players who we believe will fit in the coach’s plans. We are still in negotiations and I hope we finalize things soonest, Lilumbi told Futaa.com.
Ingwe will be praying for better tidings in 2017 after a woeful 2016 season.
