Manoah: We were capable of a better finish

Vihiga United coach Edward Manoah believes that his team could have achieved a better finish than their sixth position in the just concluded National Super League (NSL).

In only their maiden experience in Kenya’s second tier league, the former Division One champions, rolled a rather impressive campaign to end it among the best ranked first six teams. And despite the rank standing as massive leap by the standards showed in the league, Manoah refused to get carried away with the feat he considered as a mere minimum best.

Pushed for better

- It’s good performance, a draw for the final match when players seemed to have switched off inst entirely bad. It’s normal, but i however, feel that we put ourselves in that position; we could have done far much better. But we equally have to appreciate and embrace it, hoping that next year we go back and come stronger, Manoah told futaa.

The Vihiga County Government sponsored team lost only five games of the 38 games and was the third best defensive team in the league after promoted pair Nzoia and Sharks.
