Abondo’s coach resigns

Ajax Cape Town have confirmed that head coach Roger de Sa has stepped down with immediate effect.

The decision on De Sa was made today, following last night’s 2-1 loss to Bidvest Wits in the Absa Premiership.

-I would like to thank the management, technical team and the players for all their support during my two and a half years at the club, De Sa told the club official portal.

Great experience

-I’ve enjoyed every minute of my job especially working with such a youthful squad. I personally think we are on the verge of winning ways but the results have not gone our way. I’d like to wish everyone, especially the fantastic supporters, all the success that this club deserves.

The Urban Warriors assistant coach, Mich d'Avray, is expected to take over at the helm as the team aims to get their season back on track. Ajax’s next game will be against SuperSport United on Saturday, with the Urban Warriors hosting Stuart Baxter’s side.
